Spring Break! Loretta and I decide to go to Charleston, SC for 5 days. Fun times ahead. :) Posted by Hello

Charleston is yellow. We also went to Folly Beach, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Isle of Palms.  Posted by Hello

Wednesday...8 hours after we begin our journey we finally see this sign: Welcome to South Carolina. Yay. :) Posted by Hello

Famous, cheesy landmark, South of The Border amusement park. Somehow they have earned a mark on the SC map. Posted by Hello

Our room at the hostel in Charleston. Not bad for $20/night. Posted by Hello

Wednesday night...our first night at Beer Works, which became our favorite bar. I got to know all the bartenders while Loretta got to know all the bouncers.  Posted by Hello

Thursday...We take a tour through Charleston. This basically means we drive then walk down King Street, look at the Battery (what your looking at) and then run back to our car before the meter runs out. My favorite part was walking through the community. It's just like the old beautiful houses in Georgetown.  Posted by Hello

View from the Battery... Just one of many tours going on throughout the city. And one of many mansions that line the edge of the Peninsula of Downtown Charleston. Posted by Hello

More of The Battery. Posted by Hello

After the Battery we head off to Folly Beach. We (or I, rather) soaked up as much sun as possible, until the clouds rolled in. I lost all sanity and took a dip in the ice cold water. My reasoning? Salt water is good for your skin. The things women do in the name of beauty. Posted by Hello

Thursday night...Loretta and I sitting on the fountain in Marion Square. After this we headed up towards our favorite bar, Beer Works. Posted by Hello

Friday...Lunch time at the cute Salt and Pepper Cafe in Mt. Pleasant. After this we continued driving to the beach on the Isle of Palms. Another cold and windy day.  Posted by Hello

Friday night...Dinner and a comedy show in North Charleston. We were shockingly entertained by the star of the show--a man with a curled mustache and cowboy hat who enjoyed breaking out with a juggling routine now and then...enjoy your snacks. Posted by Hello

Saturday...shopping on King Street. All the chic stores with expensive merchandise. It was just like M Street in Georgetown except longer. Posted by Hello

After a long, hard day of shopping, we attempted to escape the cold wind by catching a ride home. This bike guy was the first sign of public transportation so we went with it (not to mention that some hotel bell hop guys stopped him for us and I would have felt bad turning away their good deed). So we hid under the blanket (I tried putting it over my head but then I realized I was out in public so I resumed the normal blanket-on-lap position) but we just couldn't warm up.

Sunday...last day in Charleston. Brunch at the ever-popular Terrace. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day or a more beautiful view. We left in a hurry when we realized that it was day light savings and that the hour "sprang forward" the night before. So we headed out of there at 12 instead of what felt like 11. Posted by Hello
