So here is my online album of my first major trip out of the country. Enjoy! Posted by Hello

I arrived in San Pedro Sula on May 23, 2004. I met a woman named Nelly on my plane and she offered to drive me into the city, to a hotel.  Posted by Hello

This was funny for me. I thought this was more of the way they carry things in the country, not in the city.  Posted by Hello

I met Dilcia (and her energy-packed son, Stuardo) at the hotel where I stayed in San Pedro. Immediately she took me under her wing and guided me around while I was there. She insisted on paying for my cab rides and got me a little keychain to remember her. I was there for only a day. What a great start for my trip.  Posted by Hello

Welcome to Copan Ruinas. Originally I planned on staying for 1 week but I stayed for 2 instead. Made lots of memories here.  Posted by Hello

Down the street in Copan, looking towards the Central Plaza.  Posted by Hello

This was the view from my bedroom. See the mountains. Posted by Hello

This is the view from the terrace of where I stayed.  Posted by Hello

Me and Nike sit in the terrace at Dona Elena's house. This is Nery's dog. Ixel, his other dog, is in another pic. Now I want my own rotweilers. I miss these pups terribly.  Posted by Hello

A woman that helps out in the house where I stayed, cuts fresh chicken for dinner (notice head and feet). I had to take a picture.  Posted by Hello

Dona Deisy, the founder of the orphanage/daycare. A woman with the biggest heart. She owns a restaurant and uses the profits to support the children.  Posted by Hello

Welcome to the local daycare/orphanage. I volunteered here during my stay in Copan.  Posted by Hello

Me and the kids.  Posted by Hello

Nery and I pass by a farm on our way to the indiginous pueblo.  Posted by Hello

The kids. :) Posted by Hello

An indiginous woman and her baby in front of her home, which is made of mud, straw and branches. She let me peak inside.  Posted by Hello

This is Nery (on the left) with his dog Ixel. He is Dona Elena's (the woman I stayed with in Copan) son. We became good friends.  Posted by Hello

The little indiginous boy took a pic with me.  Posted by Hello

This cutey followed us around while we were in the pueblo. He holds a carved dish that his father made. He helps support his family by selling things that they make.  Posted by Hello

Nery hands a cookie to a little girl. Posted by Hello

The kids enjoy their cookies in front of the store where we bought them.  Posted by Hello
